The TimelyMD Story
TimelyMD was co-founded by Luke Hejl, Chris Clark, and Alan Dennington, M.D., in 2017. Luke and Alan grew up in Austin, Texas, and shared many of life’s earliest memories together, including Boy Scouts, church activities, and family camping trips. During their first year at Abilene Christian University, they met Chris—their first-year class president—and the three have been friends ever since.
What began as a dinner conversation between Luke and Chris about starting a business became a year-long adventure bringing researching telehealth and virtual health care, specifically in higher education. The idea to connect students directly to healthcare professionals came after speaking with students and parents about the current physical and mental needs of college students.
As results-focused leaders and longtime friends, Luke, Chris, and Alan bring their entrepreneurial passions and their experiences at the intersection of business, technology, and healthcare to all aspects of life and work at TimelyMD.
